Second Dialogue

Second Dialogue :"In the Street"

Mr. O'Hara ir outside the house with Ana.

Mr. O´Hara: Are you happy here Ana?

Ana: Yes, I am. Everybody´s so friendly: my classmates, the teacher, your family... Americans are really open.

Mr. O'hara: Glad to hear that. I´m just fixing the door of the garage and I´ll go for a walk with you.

Ana: That's a great idea! I want to have look at those tall buildings over there.

Mr O'Hara: That´s the Post Office, if you need to mail a letter, and that´s my friend Peter´s shop on          the right, he sells clothing. The church is the next to the Post Office.

Ana: Do you go to church Mr. O´Hara?

Mr. O´Hara: Yes, I do. Our family has Irish roots and we are all Catholic. I like going to St. Stephen´s church every Sunday, St. Stephen´s choir sings Gospel music.

Ana: Really? Gospel is my dad´s favourite music. Amazing!

Mr. O´Hara: The choir´s singers are excepcional. You should hear them!

Ana: I will join you for Sunday mass. Where is the Town Hall?

Mr. O'Hara: It's opposite the gas station, near Lucy's Hospital.

Ana: And where´s John´s school? Can I see it?

Mr. O´Hara:  Of course, Ana It´s just behind the park over there.

Ana: Would you like an ice cream Mr. O´Hara?

Mr. O´Hara: That would be great! I´ll take you to Michael's stand.

Ana: Can we visit the Tourist Information Office?

Mr. O´Hara: Sure! There you can get some interesting information.

Ana:  Where´s the local library Mr. O´Hara?

Mr. O´Hara:  It´s near my cousin´s house... next to Museum.

Ana:  I have to prepare an assignment about Heminingway soon...

Mr. O´Hara: Do you need any help with that Ana?

Ana: Maybe a little.

Mr. O´Hara: Don´t worry! Next week I´ll have some days off and I´ll help you with your homework.

Ana: That´s cool Mr O´Hara! When is John´s birthday party?

Mr. O´Hara: Soon, my dear. We need to start preparing it.

Ana: I´ll cook my Spanish omelet. What present can I get him?

Mr. O´Hara: You don't need to get him anything, Ana. You're our family's guest...

Ana:  You are very kind Mr. O´Hara. I really like it here!
